THERE WERE PRESENTED: the AD (Angel-Destroyer), the AG (Angel-Guardian) and Joanna.

WITNESSES: the poet V.A Joukovski, the philosopher and thinker Nikolay Berdyaev, the writer and publicist Constantine Leontiev, the founder Karl Marx, the classic Feodor Dostoyevsky, the anarchist Michael Bakunin, the genius thinker and leader Vladimir Ulyanov-Lenin, Moses Hess, the socialist, economist and anarchist Pierre Proudhon, the Parisian communard Florens, the founder Friedrich Engels.

"How can it be 'No monarchy in the Plan?" the surprised AG asked clearing his throat.
The 1st of Samuel, chapter 10 testifies. Listen, son of darkness:

'And Samuel called the people together unto the LORD to Mizpeh;

And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, [and] of them that oppressed you:

And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, [Nay], but set a king over us" (10:18-19).
I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that YOUR WICKEDNESS [IS] GREAT, WHICH YE HAVE DONE IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, IN ASKING YOU A KING.

So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel (12:17-18).

And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.

And he said, 'This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint [them] for himself, for his chariots, and [to be] his horsemen; and [some] shall run before his chariots. And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and [will set them] to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. And he will take your daughters [to be] confectionaries, and [to be] cooks, and [to be] bakers. And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, [even] the best [of them], and give [them] to his servants. And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put [them] to his work. He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye SHALL BE HIS SERVANTS. And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day' (8:10-18).
Joseph also memorized one more thing:

'But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king" (12:25).

God is pleased with king who attends to the Plan and multiplication of God's harvest, but not one who forces his subjects to attend to HIMSELF and his own vassals. But where you can find such king?
The witness Chatsky sighed on this matter, 'I would be glad to attend but it makes me sick to dance attendance!'

"OK, stop debating," the AD growled smoking with sulphur. "Let's invite my witnesses because for some reason all your revolutionaries have nimbuses."

"Wait, I will discuss it one after another. We must sort it out."

The witness Joukovski, 'The reformation ruined spiritual, up to that time untouched, authority of the church itself: it rebelled democratic minds against its lack of jurisdiction; allowing to revise the revelation, it shook faith, and together with faith all holy things.'

Though I have a more exact definition on this matter. 'Revising the revelation is a blasphemy and horrible sin. And it's on this matter that Leo Tolstoy stumbled. But the witness Berdyaev quite fairly noticed:

'When the church, as a SOCIAL INSTITUTION, is recognized as a holy and sinless one, then idolization and enslavement of man begins.'

Because in this case all sins and injustices of the clergy are associated with God in parishioners' consciousness. And they stopped believing in this God.

The witness Constantine Leontiev:

'Instead of Christian otherworldly beliefs and asceticism there appeared earthly human utilitarianism - concern about universal practical good. This Christianity doesn't seem to be divine and at the same time comforting and terrible teaching anymore, but it's a childish babble, allegory and moral fable whose detailed interpretation is moral utilitarianism.'

'Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes' (Matthew 11:25).

"That's really so," the AG sighed, "stop smoking, son of darkness, your witnesses are gone. Here are some materials from the First International.

The witness Karl Marx, 'Whereas for a socialist all so called history of the world means no other than man's creative work, creation by his hand and perfection of nature for man, thereby, he has unquestionable proofs that he was born of himself.'

"That's super," the AG began to clap his hands, "therefore, everyone who built a house and planted currants around it can think that he gave birth to himself. That's wonderful but what next?"

"A man is the greatest creature for a man."

'Communists don't preach morality.' 'In consequence of a world war not only reactionary classes and dynasties disappear but also reactionary nations will be wiped from the face of the earth. And this will be great progress. They will be forgotten forever.'

"What a plan this is!" giggled the Ad, "a nation was and is no more. Let this reactionary be cast on the scrapheap! Who is a reactionary?"

"It's one who believes in God but not in a man-god. As the witness Dostoyevsky told in 'Demons':

'Man will be God and change physically. The world will change, and affairs will change, and thoughts, and all feelings. The world will be filled by the one whose name is man-god. Is he a God-man?
"What is the actual difference," shrugged the AD.

"It's like between a drop flowing together with Ocean and becoming Ocean too and a drop on a hat shouting that it is an ocean.

The witness Michael Bakunin:

'Devil is a satanic rebellion against God and authority; it's a rebellion, in which we can see a noble source of all human emancipation or revolution. Socialists recognize each other by the words 'for the sake of one who was unjustly offended. Devil is the first free-thinker and savior of the world; he liberates Adam and puts a seal of humanity and liberty on his brow after making him disobedient.'

"Well, what will you say to this, Positive?"

"It's also a sad result of incorrect social policy plus uncivilized ignorance in the problems of Christianity. So comrade Bakunin is not quite right, and other Satanists are not quite right. Liberty was granted by the forbidden tree planted by the Creator himself, who warned, 'Don't eat or you will die.' It's full liberty which you can choose. And your boss, the prince of darkness, simply told a lie:

'Eat up, you will not die but be like God." It's the same as to say, don't jump from the tenth floor, or you will fall to death - what a despot! But other liberal says, 'Jump, you are free and you will fly! But in reality you will fall to death.

Since that time most of comrades understand liberty in this way: eating a forbidden fruit, thinking that it is not poisonous. As a result, people die and go to cemeteries.'

"Everybody will be there," the AD put a word. "We have hundred-per-cent mortality."

"Don't play the fool, son of darkness; I'm talking about the second and eternal death, about weeds."

"Ok, your correction is accepted. Here is one more witness. It's Michael Bakunin:

'In that revolution we will have to wake up devil in people to arouse their basest passions. Our mission is destroying but not building. A passion of destruction is a creative passion.'

In a musty swamp of universal spiritual death this is a natural reaction of an inner compass: to throw a whole chessboard from the table but stop playing this hellish and destructive game. And our Joanna dreamt of an earthquake in order to stop all this 'perestroika'.

Joanna drew herself together at her place between chairs and caught her breath. But the AG kept on talking as if nothing had happened.

"There will be a rebellion, boys. The only thing is that some people long for catharsis, cleansing, and justice but others want to live as wealthily as possible and the third crave for having gold, blood and women. What is the sense of waking up devil, comrade Bakunin, he never sleeps at all. Is it right, AD?"

"Wait a little; here is 'our man', a prominent social thinker Proudhon. By the way, he was Marx's friend. The same person who very justly said that 'every property is theft,' but in his work 'About Justice and Revolution in Church' comrade Proudhon calls Satan, i.e. my boss who was supposedly 'defamed by base kings', 'to run the show on the earth'. As if somebody other could run this show here! A wise man truly said that the greatest achievement of the Satan was that he made us to forget about his existence! Even I, sparing my opponent's feelings, don't dare to quote these words in full; I will only say that this thinker reproaches the Creator for "hypocrisy, falsity, tyranny, misery and struggle against culture, freedom and man. The thinker comes to the point that 'in defiance of him we obtain knowledge and reach welfare and unions. Every step is a triumph over the Divinity.'

"Mankind as a servant of king and priests will be damned everywhere where man bows before altars.'

"Yes, your establishment has worked not well," the AG sighed. You have managed to reverse everything! I don't know what kind of system was in the church, to which the thinker Proudhon belonged, but it seems that the rebel never opened the Scripture. Man is mad, there is no denying, because he subordinated to your boss, AD, and violated all commandments, but Proudhon called Satan to correct his Satan's own deeds!"

"That's right," The AD giggled contentedly, "your revolutionary is like that."

"No, we must examine it. This wild blasphemous reaction is first of all a result of the Western Church's falling away from the truth, if we digress from classic madness of this thinker who without separating wheat from tares lumps everything and devises his own god and then overthrows it. We had enough of such theomachists. But we are here with the only purpose to examine it because judgment belongs to the Truth itself. But your boss is a great deceiver; his main weapon is a crafty substitution of ideas and confusion, with which he covers his lie. He is a real serpent who is 'more subtil than any beast of the field'. Therefore, the true Satanists are those who, having true knowledge of God, reject him consciously as the Way, the Truth and the Life.

There are impudent blasphemers who without penetrating into the problem tempt other people with their unjust words. And if they are published, then they work against their author for ages, though he left the earth very long ago like your Proudhon."

"So you gave up Proudhon," the contended AD said.

"Or the Parisian communard Florense who said:

"Our enemy is God. The hatred to God is the beginning of wisdom." I bet that he didn't look into the Scripture. But that's none of my business; they have their own Guardian Angels, let them face the consequences. I mean how much rubbish got to us from the West, and to Joseph too. It must be said that he liked reading as well as thinking."

"Yes, he liked Marx, Engels and the likes."

"Don't touch Engels. Here I have a wonderful testimony from his work 'Schelling is a Philosopher in Christ or the Transfiguration of Worldly Wisdom into Divine One'. Only the title is worth much, is it?"

'From the time of the horrible French revolution a completely new devilish spirit got into a considerable part of mankind. And atheism again shamelessly and insolently raises his impudent head, so we have to think about the fulfillment of the Scriptures' prophesies in these days.'

"We are making efforts. But you are confusing something. It's from the wrong film."

"It's the right film, I have checked it. It is not indifference but coldness towards God; this is an obvious enmity. And instead of all kinds of sects and parties we have only two: Christians and Christ's adversaries. Among them we can see false prophets, 'speaking great things and blasphemies'. They are wandering about the Germany and try to penetrate everywhere by stealth, preaching their satanic teachings in markets, pass the devilish banner from one town to another and enticed poor young people in order to plunge them into the deepest abyss of hell and death."

"I can't understand it. Is this the author of 'The Manifest' where it is written in black and white,
'Communism abolishes eternal truths; it abolishes religion, morality...'?

"It's a paradox. Below there is a quotation from the Revelation: "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."

By the way, Engels uttered a very curious prophecy:

'Democratic, red and even communistic mob will never love us.' A bit of information to meditate on: the world loves its own' He also said, 'Universal love for people is an absurdity.'

The witness Moses Hess, 'The red Catechism for German people':

"What is black? The clergy is black. These theologians are the worst aristocrats."

"Firstly, a priest teaches princes to enslave people for God's glory.

Secondly, he teaches people to allow enslaving themselves for God's glory. Thirdly and mainly he provides himself with free life on the earth with God's help but people are recommended to expect it in heaven. Notice, it is said here not about the Scripture but about a social policy of the church. It seems this point of view is the closest to Joseph. "

"I can't help quoting from the Scripture once more:

"'The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, [Is] not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed [as] a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest' (Micah 3:11-12).

These prophesy was surely read by Joseph!

And here the same Hess says:

'It is useless and without result to raise people to historic liberty and MAKE THEM TAKE PART IN MEANS OF LIVING DISTRIBUTION without liberating them from spiritual slavery, i.e. religion.'

'Historic liberty means here 'means of living distribution'.

The witness Vladimir Ulyanov (Lenin). Perhaps, it's the most typical case of conscious atheism:

'Atheism is an integral part of Marxism. Marxism is materialism; we must struggle against religion, and it is the ABC of every materialist and Marxist, respectively.'

It sounds incomprehensible but categorical.

Vladimir Lenin to Gorky:

'A million of sins, dirty tricks, acts of violence and physical infections are much easier revealed by crowd, and therefore, they are much less dangerous than a subtle and spiritual idea of God dressed in the neatest ideological suits.'

Vladimir Ilyich didn't believe in God but it seems that he believed in our boss. Not so did he believe but saw him clearly:

The state is in our hands, but has it functioned our way this year, under the new economic policy? No, we don't want to admit it: it has functioned not our way. But how does it function? The car gets out of control when nobody drives it; it goes not to where it is driven by a driver but to where it is driven by somebody unknown. The car goes not quite correctly as its driver imagines but very often not correctly at all."

And on his deathbed the leader-atheist spoke very wonderful things:

'I have made a big mistake. I'm pursued by a feeling as if I were drowned in an ocean of innumerable victims' blood. But we have no way back. In order to save Russia we need to have men like Francis of Assisi was. If we had ten people like him, Russia would be saved.'

Far away in the eternity something loudly banged.

"What is it?" the AG said anxiously.

"A cannon on the Senatsky square banged. Now the Decembrists will surely wake up Alexander Hertsen."

The light flashed, and Joanna again turned out to be in her childhood.
